Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically with multifamily and mid-rise construction projects.
- Proven track record of managing all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets.
- Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
- Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction law and building codes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of multitasking and effectively managing your time.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
