Construction Project Manager - Career Pathway LLC

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will manage projects from start to finish, including estimating and project completion.

They need to have a strong understanding of the design-build process and experience in commercial and industrial construction

This role is a leadership position, where the Senior PM will review and improve processes, and manage and develop a team of project managers.

The candidate should be able to build and maintain good client relationships.

The company focuses on advancing construction methods and uses the latest construction software. The Senior PM will help the team get the most out of programs like Procore, Bluebeam, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Design-Build: Understand construction design and processes to lead the design, identify issues, and suggest solutions.
• Construction Financials: Manage project forecasting, cash flows, and work-in-progress reports.
• Estimating: Accurately estimate project costs and manage the team doing estimates.
• Contract Management: Understand construction contracts and negotiate terms with external parties.
• Process Improvement: Find weak areas in processes and develop better methods.
• Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing education and guidance.
• Technology: Understand and advance the use of construction software and technology within the company and on the job site.
• Safety: Follow industry safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Culture: Promote a collaborative and supportive environment, while maintaining the company’s reputation for ethical behavior.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture
• 7+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction
• Ability to manage a remote or spread-out team
• Supervisory experience
• Strong organizational skills and punctuality
• Good communication skills (both speaking and writing)
• Ability to analyze problems and make good decisions quickly
• Ability to work well with different types of people
• Some travel may be required
• The position may be remote for the right candidate
