We are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that they are executed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. If you are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in construction project management, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Review and interpret project plans and specifications, providing input on design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures, and potential construction problems.
3. Develop and manage project schedules, identifying and resolving issues that could impact timelines.
4. Coordinate and supervise the work of all construction team members, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
5. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, implementing appropriate measures to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are being met.
7. Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and mitigations.
8. Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and third parties, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project and monitoring actual costs as the project progresses.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager, New Construction Project Manager, or similar role.
3. Minimum 3+ years of experience in estimating in a construction general contractor environment.
4. Solid knowledge of commercial and industrial construction methodologies and processes.
5. Proficiency in project management software, including scheduling and cost control systems.
6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
9. Excellent knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
10. Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar would be advantageous.
