Education Through Music, Inc. (ETM) is a non-profit organization that partners with New York City Public Schools to place music teachers and programs back into the school's curricula. We are unique from other arts nonprofits in that we provide a bridge for teachers who are not certified to teach in public schools, build their program, and eventually be hired by a public school for the DOE. ETM has great reach in that we serve all five boroughs, we have partnerships with 50 public schools and provide music education to over 18,000 children. Music is a part of a well-rounded education; it is essential for students' social and emotional well-being and a critical tool for establishing equity and success.
Under the oversight of the Senior Director of Development, the Individual Giving and Project Manager will help implement Education Through Music's (ETM) in-person and virtual cultivation and fundraising events, including ETM's annual Gala and other major functions. The Manager will support effective stewardship and donor relations with individuals and organizations supporting ETM through events or other solicitations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Board members in their fundraising outreach, solicitation and ongoing project tracking, as well as updating and maintaining the databases.
- Build an individual giving pipeline with the Board of Directors and conducting prospect research to identify potential donors.
- Identify opportunities for parlor meetings and similar special meetings to cultivate and solicit financial support from individuals.
- Manage the stewardship process and development calendar with focus on outreach, donor meetings, site visits, grant applications, and the creation and distribution of donor and prospect communications, gift receipts/acknowledgments, invitations, and collateral.
- Oversee the fulfillment and tracking of donor information, engagement levels, and recognitions.
- Assist with social media, newsletters, and other marketing initiatives.
- Planning and execution support for all fundraising events, including Planning and execution support for all fundraising events
- Help organize donor cultivation and special events: annual Gala, the Golf Outing and the Women's Luncheon and its committees.
- Research, plan and organize small events and assist in the execution of larger events and appreciation events
- Provide oversight and direction for event management
- Track and assist in follow-up for all planned events. Support CEO, Sen. Director of Development, and Board members with related follow-up needs

Pay Range
$70,000-72,500/year
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years of development/fundraising experience, including donor stewardship, managing staff and working with a Board of Directors.
- An innovative and energetic approach with prior experience working in a development, fundraising, or sales role
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and writing skills.
- Event organization, management, and/or producing experience.
- Experience with soliciting and securing entry level to five-figure gifts and deployment of moves management strategies for pipeline development.
- Understanding of peer to peer, digital and social media solicitation campaigns and ability to collaborate with marketing colleagues to establish a schedule of fundraising outreach.
- Key understanding of membership program management, benefit fulfillment, and an emphasis on moves management.
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
- Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and database tools like Salesforce and CRMs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software
- Master's Degree
- Development experience specific to education, arts, and other applicable programs
