Key Responsibilities
- Manage as many as 10 simultaneous projects ranging from in cost from $10MM-$20MM
- Project Initiation: Develop conceptual budgets and schedules; plan logistics; provide budget analysis and value engineering; secure internal approvals for capital funding.
- Design Management: Apply Vessel's design guidelines; guide design teams from programming to completion; engage architects, engineers, and specialty consultants.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Meet with internal engineering groups, operations, and business units to determine detailed project requirements.
- Contract Negotiation: Engage general contractors through competitive bidding and negotiation; review proposals and change order requests; prepare and present comparative analyses.
- Construction Oversight: Supervise on-site activities; ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards; manage project schedules and budgets.
- Travel: Frequent travel to support projects as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in GROUND UP construction project management, preferably in production home building, retail roll-outs or townhome development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Track record of having managed multiple projects simultaneously and having met deadlines.
