Construction Project Manager – High-End Residential & Single-Family Construction

Our client, a respected real estate business founded in 2000, is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to join their team in Chicago. As a leader in luxury residential development, this company specializes in delivering high-quality, bespoke single-family homes and high-end residential projects. The business is also poised for growth, with projects in the pipeline to expand into multi-family developments.

In this role, you’ll be immediately responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of several prestigious residential projects in North Side Chicago, with the exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's expansion into new markets.

The ideal candidate will be happy in the hybrid role of office and on-site and importantly will possess a real passion, energy, and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges, bringing a proactive attitude and a drive to continuously improve and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the construction process for high-end residential and single-family projects.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee quality control, ensuring all work meets high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
• Provide clear and consistent communication to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise on-site, ensuring smooth project execution.
• As the business expands into multi-family development, there may be future opportunities to oversee larger-scale projects.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Strong experience in managing high-end residential and/or single-family construction projects.
• Prior experience as a General Contractor is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Exposure to or experience with Procure software is beneficial.
• Any background in construction accounting or experience managing project financials will be a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Chicago-based with familiarity of local regulations, vendors, and subcontractors.
• A true passion and enthusiasm for tackling challenges and driving successful project outcomes.
