ROLE OVERVIEW: As a Healthcare Project Manager with Bowa Construction, you’ll lead the charge in planning, executing, and delivering top-tier healthcare facility projects. This role is all about balancing precision with progress: managing schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure each project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. From strict adherence to healthcare-specific regulations, like safety and infection control, to seamless coordination with healthcare clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, you'll be the cornerstone of project success.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all phases of healthcare construction projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all projects adhere to healthcare-specific regulations, such as infection control, patient safety, and facility accessibility.
- Coordinate the allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, facilitating communication and resolving project issues.
- Identify potential project risks, including safety hazards and regulatory non-compliance, and implement proactive solutions.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality control and safety, ensuring all work meets healthcare construction specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all required project documentation, including reports, change orders, and permits.
- Lead and mentor the project team, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Ensure timely completion of all closeout procedures, including final inspections, punch list resolution, and submission of as-built documents.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. (In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience in construction project management).
- 7+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in healthcare construction projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction regulations, including infection control, patient safety, and healthcare facility standards.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex construction projects from planning to closeout.
- Strongleadership skills with experience managing project teams and working in a collaborative environment.
- Expertise in developing, managing, and maintaining project budgets and schedules.
- Analytical and proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with healthcare clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and resolving project-related conflicts.
- Ability to foresee and mitigate risks related to compliance, safety, and project execution.
- Familiarity with healthcare-specific construction methodologies and building codes.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, contracts, and change order processes.
- OSHA certification in construction safety.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications preferred.
