Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA with expertise in providing program and project management for design and construction, project controls, commissioning, construction-related technology, and facilities management, seeks a Construction/Project Manager supporting a government client in the Birmingham, AL area. The candidate will be supporting the staff in the management of the construction project and will handle the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Provide decisive direction in regard to business, technical, and project management involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities across an active healthcare facility.
- Overall management - technical quality, cost, and schedule.
- Maintain daily progress reports and inspection reports.
- Lead the inspection and quality assurance team assigned to projects to ensure timely and effective project oversight.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field from an accredited University is required. Educational requirement may be substituted by fifteen (15) years of directly related experience.
- Seven (7) years of experience in management of healthcare facility construction projects including supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management and program budgeting, and overall project management activities.
- The ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- The ability to communicate effectively with project construction team members.
Salary is commensurate with experience
