Construction Project Estimator - Insight Global

Job Description - Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine the scope of work - Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges - Research and obtain budgetary estimates for materials, labor, and equipment - Prepare detailed cost estimates that include material costs, labor costs, equipment rentals, permits, and overhead - Track and monitor project costs throughout the construction process - Prepare cost reports and variance analyses to identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions - Stay up to date on current construction methods, materials, and costs - Update Standard Estimating Tool for use by Project Managers at sites - Develop and Lead estimating training for Project Managers and Planners at sites across the enterprise - Domestic travel required We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - 5+ years of experience in project planning and coordination - 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications - 5+ years of experience in Material estimating - 5+ years of experience preparing time, cost, and labor estimates - 5+ years of experience with Estimates at Completion, Data Analysis, and/or Budgeting/Cost Performance Reporting - Bachelor degree in Construction Management - Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical), architecture, or construction management - Knowledge of tracking and monitoring project costs throughout the construction process - Familiarity with current construction methods, materials, and costs null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
