If you answered yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a Permanent Project Engineer to join our team. This role will require you to use your technical expertise and project management skills to drive the successful completion of complex engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Problem solves with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop effective plans and schedules for constructing the project and determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals.
- Interprets drawings, specifications and technical information and disseminates to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design details.
- Identifies, orders and coordinates delivery of permanent materials such as pipe, stone, reinforcing steel, beams, etc. Works with the Project Team and Purchasing Department to ensure that all required purchase orders and subcontracts are finalized in a timely and cost-effective and simplistic manner.
- Manages the RFI and submittal process including establishment and maintenance of project control logs in CMiC.
- Processes owner billings and project related accounting tasks.
- Assists Project Manager with development of Change Orders and related documentation.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction management (estimating, operations, and/or engineering) role. Heavy civil experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent required. Continuing education in construction is highly desirable.
- OSHA 30 hour required.
- FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification preferred.
- Must possess working knowledge of contract administration systems, job cost management, change order management, labor & equipment reporting, planning, and scheduling, preconstruction planning, safety policies and procedures, safe work procedures.
