Job Details

Currently seeking a Project Engineer to join a General Contractor in the Orange County market, specializing in Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement projects. You will play a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement projects.
Conduct thorough project feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bids, and contract documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry regulations.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate the seamless execution of project tasks and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and proactively identify and address any deviations from the project plan.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and best practices.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement construction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required
2+ years of experience in project engineering or construction management, with a focus on commercial projects.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations governing Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement projects.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
