As a Weatherization Program Coordinator, you will have the exciting opportunity to coordinate a team of contractors and carpenters. This position is perfect for those who are passionate about environmental conservation and want to make a tangible difference in reducing energy consumption. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing weatherization programs, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong coordination skills, exceptional communication abilities, and someone who is eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive weatherization programs, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating the team.
2. Monitor the progress of weatherization projects, ensuring they are completed on time.
3. Work closely with clients, contractors, and provide guidance.
4. Conduct energy audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement and recommending cost-effective, energy-efficient solutions.
5. Provide training and education to team members, clients, and the community about the benefits of weatherization and energy conservation.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulations, ensuring our programs remain at the forefront of energy efficiency and sustainability.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, outcomes, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
8. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and services at the best prices.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations, maintaining meticulous records for auditing purposes.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in overseeing projects and helping manage a team
2. Proficient in scheduling, planning, and coordinating complex projects.
3. Extensive knowledge of weatherization processes, technologies, and materials.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct energy audits and assessments.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
6. Proven ability to provide training and education on complex topics in a clear and engaging manner.
7. Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
8. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best prices from vendors and suppliers.
9. A deep commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.
10. A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
