We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to work in our Northern New Jersey office located in South Plainfield.
Your Role:
Primary job functions include overseeing laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, etc.
Requirements:
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with and ability to comprehend applicable ASTM/AASHTO standards.
- Obtain and maintain annual laboratory accreditations. (AMRL/CCRL/AASHTO/ARMY CORE)
- Ability to obtain/maintain Radiation Safety Officer certification & Laboratory standing.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Previous experience with GeoSystems software or equivalent is a plus.
Primary responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Organizing and maintaining laboratory records/inventory
- Managing laboratory materials throughput.
- Tracking samples, results, and billing.
- Training lab staff.
- Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating laboratory and field-testing equipment.
- Obtaining/maintaining lab accreditation.
- Assist in field materials testing, inspections, and sample procurement as required.
