Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc., is looking to hire Laboratory Manager for our Media, PA office. Primary job functions include laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, etc.

Requirements:
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with and ability to comprehend applicable ASTM standards.
- Assist with annual laboratory accreditations.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.
- Previous experience with GeoSystems software or equivalent is a plus.
Primary responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- organizing the lab,
- managing lab throughput,
- tracking samples, results, and billing,
- training lab staff,
- maintaining, repairing and calibrating of laboratory and field equipment
- maintaining lab accreditation,
- assist in geotechnical investigations, design and analysis
