Construction Manager at FootBridge

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees construction activities and ensures the project goals and objectives are met within given timelines while maintaining a safe job site utilizing OSHA standards and plant rules.
• Daily communication of project construction and safety metrics.
• Responsible for the on-site safety of all contractor personnel and ensuring they are properly trained and competent in hazard recognition.
• Oversees material and equipment procurement and coordination, and small system civil, structural, and mechanical designs for “field engineered” solutions.
• Field supervision of construction work; ensures compliance with company drawings and specifications, and good construction practices. Inspects construction work quality and reports findings back to Project Manager.
• Participates in weekly construction coordination meetings to communicate plant events that affect construction work
• Ability to recognize and communicate scheduling setbacks to project management in a timely manner
• Monitors resources and materials needed between construction and plant maintenance

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• 10+ years of Construction Management experience.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.  Applicant will be communicating with a Project Manager. 
• Experience with project management/scheduling.
• Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Experience with construction practices and principles.
