We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex construction projects and will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects or project packages, overseeing all phases from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and schedules, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other specialists to align on project scope, timelines, and resources.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets, taking proactive steps to resolve any deviations.
- Contract and Technical Oversight:
- Interpret, explain, and enforce project contracts, technical specifications, and requirements to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across all teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors, ensuring contractual obligations are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Foster effective collaboration with architects, engineers, designers, and other construction professionals to ensure the seamless execution of the project.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and financial matters, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Problem-Solving and Risk Management:
- Proactively address project delays, emergencies, and unforeseen challenges, quickly developing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Respond to worksite issues in real-time, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to minimize disruptions and keep the project moving forward.
- Compliance and Safety Oversight:
- Ensure that all projects adhere to legal requirements, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Lead safety initiatives on-site, ensuring the welfare of all team members and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or additional certifications is a plus.
- Experience:
- Junior Level (0-5 years): Up to 5 years of experience in Construction Management or related roles, preferably on aviation projects or large-scale construction projects.
- Mid-Level (5-15 years): 5 to 15 years of experience managing complex construction projects, with a demonstrated ability to oversee multi-disciplinary teams and manage project timelines and budgets.
- Senior Level (15+ years): 15+ years of experience in Construction Management, particularly in high-complexity or multi-year projects, with a proven ability to lead large teams, manage large budgets, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Professional licensure or certifications such as CCM, PE, PMP, AAAE, LEED, or other relevant qualifications are highly preferred.
Compensation:
$93k-$180k
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
