Construction Manager - Talent & Acquisition LLC., d/b/a Stand 8

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of construction for telecommunications projects, including tower modifications and small cell deployments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor selection, on-site management, and coordination of subcontractors, OEM installers, and customer representatives. This role will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directly advise and influence District and/or Program and Project Managers in all aspects of construction work.
• Actively participate in the Vendor selection process and make recommendations based on project needs.
• Attend deployment and other customer meetings as the subject matter expert for all construction-related matters.
• Build and maintain customer relationships, potentially influencing customers to award service work.
• Conduct regular site visits including bid walks, pre-construction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeouts.
• Oversee ground work and provide direction to general contractors during construction phases.
• Ensure competitive pricing for quality work by understanding prevailing rates for construction work.
• Negotiate costs within the project scope and hold vendors accountable for maintaining the budget.
• Proactively address issues that arise on-site and provide recommendations to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Ensure compliance with company construction standards, processes, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate project tracking systems and ensure complete project closeout documentation.
• Act as a safety observer and Quality Assurance representative during on-site activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required. A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications/wireless construction.
• Familiarity with Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial and underground) for small cell sites.
• Knowledge of OTDR, Power Meter testing, and splicing for small cell systems.
• Familiarity with NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Experience in working with DWDM systems and Right of Way (ROW).

Additional

• Strong knowledge of construction management processes and budget development.
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and construction documentation.
• Expertise in diagnosing workflow problems and instituting corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving approach with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $40 - $50/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered
