Construction Manager - Electrical Construction - William Charles Construction

Overview:

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a Construction Manager to support our Power Delivery team.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the project from the site field office in Rockford, IL, concentrating on field coordination and production, safety, and quality compliance.  Travel to job sites in Southern IL and surrounding states is required.

• Safety planning for all field operations and activities along a busy road right away, rock boring, environmental hazards, and fire hazard
• Personnel management, including setting production goals, safety goals and quality goals. 
• Identify resources needed, including personnel and equipment for job sites
• Manage and update the work schedule
• Contribute to monthly cost to complete projects and advise the Project Manager
• Weekly quantities completed and accurately reported
• Coordinate all equipment acquisitions through Procurement Department
• Review progress and performance weekly with the Project Manager
• 100% Project Specific travel is required

• Associate's Degree or commensurate experience and training
• OSHA 30 Hour
• 5 years of field superintendent/management experience in the telecommunication, solar and wind markets
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)

Competencies Required:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage a portable workforce
• CPM Scheduling
