About the Job
We are currently seeking a high level Construction Manager for our Utility Division that will manage a 700 MW project in Amarillo, Texas. The salary is up to $250k depending on experience.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure suppliers, self-perform teams and subcontractors are completing scheduled tasks on time
- Collaborate with scheduler and maintain construction schedule to maintain contracted milestone dates
- Prepare for management review notices of delays to clients, vendors, subcontractors to protect Company from delay damages caused by others.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure observation goals are met, accident injury management processes are trained and fully understood, and the project follows federal and state safety regulations and the corporate safety program.
- Contract Compliance: Read, edit, create, understand, and correlate the contract documents with the scope proposal to ensure the project is built within the scope of the contract (design, specifications, budget, and schedule).
- Client Relations:
- Ensure the site management team's construction activities support client requirements, project schedule, safety, quality, and budget.
- Ensure the site management team utilizes professional demeanor while interfacing with vendors, subcontractors, landowners, and other community members.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the proper implementation and application of the project Quality Plan with assistance from site management (non-conformance report, quality checklist, audit, etc.).
- Develop a project culture and mindset that is focused on quality and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Construction Manager in a related construction industry (i.e. heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation).
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Maintain a valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Uniform Building Code (UBC), local & utility jurisdiction requirements, and OSHA regulations. Journeyman Electrician certification or NABCEP certification preferred.
- Certified in OSHA 30, preferred
- Ability to determine work priorities and review work for quality and production standards.
- Must be highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently.
- Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills.
- Must have a good driving record and maintain a valid Driver's License
