Job Details
The ideal candidate will have experience in construction litigation, a strong commitment to client service, and a desire to grow within a collaborative and innovative legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Handle various aspects of construction litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and trial.
Legal Research and Writing: Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents related to construction disputes.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, including contractors, developers, and other parties in the construction industry, to provide legal advice and updates.
Court Appearances: Represent clients in court, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior associates and partners in the construction law group and other practice areas on complex matters.
Professional Development: Stay informed of developments in construction law and actively participate in continuing legal education and professional organizations.
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school.
Admitted to and in good standing with [State] Bar.
2-5 years of experience in construction litigation or a related field.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Dedication to high ethical standards and professionalism.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with construction contracts and construction defect litigation.
Knowledge of state and federal construction laws.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
