Position Summary The scope of work for the position is to perform construction and or survey related functions such as, but not limited to, the essential duties listed below. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Use of hand and power tools to dig around existing utility structures to prevent damages Engages in general basic electrical work (low voltage, wiring and testing) Reading and following project documentation and instructions Operation of small construction equipment Use of voltage meters Pipeline Utility structure locating Load and unload equipment and materials Excavation and potholing Underground and above ground conduit work Low voltage wiring Installation of electrical panels Keep worksite clean and organized free from hazards Lifting and handling 50+ lbs. Material bags Perform Cathodic Protection Corrosion prevention tasks and services for gas, oil, and water pipelines and facilities, including power company facilities Drive company vehicle responsibly and also perform regular vehicle housekeeping, cleaning of vehicle and equipment Physical and Work Environment Demands Frequent overtime Work outdoors in various climates including extreme heat and cold Ability to lift 50 lbs. Or more, overhead, kneeling, crouching, standing, as well as carry for a minimum of 50 feet Walk for extended distances in varying conditions and terrain Use a variety of hand tools and electronic meters Ability to physically and visually follow worksite safety instructions Driving a vehicle to and from work sites in all types of weather conditions and in heavy traffic and or at nigh This position will require occasional travel with the possibility of multiple days being out in the field.
