Construction laborers will be performing manual and physical duties, use
hand and electrical tools and clean or prepare construction sites to
eliminate possible hazards to building swimming pools in residential
construction.
Duties include: Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment,
movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials. Load,
unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools,
distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project
plans or specifications. Measure, mark, or record openings or distances
to layout areas where construction work will be performed. Dig ditches
or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade
specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Mix,
pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixers. Tend pumps,
compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or
equipment. Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic
barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. Provide assistance to
other workers. Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or
tools. Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws,
hammers, nails, or bolts. Smooth or finish freshly poured cement or
concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing
tools. Operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement.
Install sewer, water, or storm drain pipes, using pipe-laying machinery
or laser guidance equipment. Operate or maintain air monitoring or other
sampling devices in confined or hazardous environments. Mix ingredients
to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces. Position, join,
align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections or
pipes. Tend machines that pump concrete, or cement through spray guns
for application to walls. Apply caulking compounds by hand or caulking
guns to protect against entry of water or air.
Three months experience as Construction laborer. Must bend, lift and
sustain up to 50 lbs, work under extreme weather conditions. No travel
required outside the Metropolitan area, no on-the-job training
available, no education required. Post-hire drug test required paid by
employer, all US and Guest workers will be screened equally. H-2B
temporary full-time position from Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. A
single workweek used for computing wages. Payment will be weekly.
If overtime is needed, will be paid at $40.17 per hour.

Deductions to paycheck required by law and may include shared group
rental housing of $70 to $75 per week depending on housing location,
and a refundable security deposit of $75; $30 per week
company-provided transportation to and from housing if worker wants
company housing and/or transport and it is available. Housing, if
provided, will be in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. No mass transit to
work site. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period,
employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence
from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of
the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer
will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return
transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker
originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due
to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of
transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most
economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during
travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts, according to
655. 0(j)(1)(i), (ii). These payments will be made with a company check,
separately from their payroll check. The worker will be reimbursed for
all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees,
including those mandated by the government on the first workweek. All
tools, supplies and equipment required will be provided without charge
or deposit charge according to 655.20(k).
