Job Title: Construction Inspector – Landscape Architecture
Location: Various Locations, CA

Key Responsibilities:
+ Field and Office Support: Assist the Resident Engineer with Landscape Architectural Construction Inspection services and office engineering work to ensure compliance with project specifications.
+ Client and Customer Focus: Understand and address client and customer needs, ensuring successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.
+ Safety Compliance: Operate strictly within customer safety protocols to ensure the safety of all involved parties at all times.
+ Documentation and Reporting: Complete daily required documentation, including Inspector’s Daily Reports (IDRs), ensuring accurate and timely records of all construction activities.
+ Quality Assurance: Perform inspections to ensure quality workmanship, including field measurements of construction materials and products, and monitor quality control operations of contractors.
+ Contract Management: Identify any errors, changes, or field adjustments to the contract documents and recommend appropriate actions to the Resident Engineer to maintain project integrity.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Education:
+ Graduation from a four-year curriculum in Landscape Architecture.
+ OR, a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Landscape Architecture.
+ Experience:
+ A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Landscape Architecture construction inspection for highways or major public works projects.
+ Experience working with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards, specifications, Construction Manual, and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) procedures is highly preferred.
+ Specialized Knowledge:
+ Familiarity with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) and General Permit regulations.
Compensation:
$60hr-$100hr
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
