This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Construction Inspector for our South Jordan, UT office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
+ Read and interpret project plans and specifications
+ Monitor construction for compliance with project documents
+ Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures
+ Prepare daily work reports; prepare and maintain documentation of contractor work performed, materials testing and traffic control based on construction plans and specifications; using Masterworks, spreadsheets, and other electronic or manual means
+ Inspect road and bridge construction (based on UDOT Standards)
+ For senior inspector positions, ability to supervise 1-2 people and experience with UDOT documentation
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of construction experience
+ UDOT Masterworks Trained
+ UDOT CITP Level III
+ ACI Level I or Level II Concrete Certification
+ Experience on UDOT projects
+ Valid Utah driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bituminous Paving Experience
+ Concrete Paving Experience
+ Direct experience working for UDOT or another firm with UDOT exposure
+ ATTSA Traffic Control Certification, Sampling Reduction & Density (SRDTT), Moisture/Density Gauge Certification, ACI or CTT Concrete Certification or the ability to become certificated within 1 month of hire
