Working within our construction management and observation/inspection services section, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader.
Inspections may be general in nature or limited to a specific area, such as Transportation infrastructure, Roads, Bridges and ancillary transportation facilities. Under limited supervision from a Supervisor/Manager, the candidate will work within specific guidelines and protocols on moderately complex assignments.
Responsibilities:
• Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes and specifications; takes action according to findings.
• Prepares daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
• Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
• Performs quantity calculations for pay estimates.
• Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, and profiles.
• Performs labor compliance interviews as necessary.
• Communicates verbally and in writing with Contractor and Owner as directed.
• 3+ years of direct knowledge of horizontal transportation projects including experience with soils, aggregate, concrete, and/or hot mix asphalt.
• High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred with course work in transportation related courses, Construction Technology and Mathematics.
• Preferred certifications in NICET, ACI concrete, and/or ATSSA certification.
