SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.
SIE is looking for a Construction Inspector to provide various inspection services on various New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) projects. The ideal candidate will have past work experience with the DDC, especially experience with the construction of pedestrian ramps. The expected work location for this position would be Queens, New York.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring contractor’s work
Ensuring construction is as per the plans and specifications
Preparing daily reports
Assisting Office Engineer as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification & Skills:
5+ years of REI/CM experience on infrastructure projects
Experience working with public agencies required
Experience with DDC projects preferred
Experience with Pedestrian Ramps preferred
Bachelor's in engineering or active NICET certification required
Expected salary range is $90,000-$120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
