Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Commercial Construction Foreperson to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping to install and complete construction jobs as well as organizing and managing project sites. Ensuring that all aspects of our construction projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction: Layout, frame, hang and tape on small commercial projects.
- Project Management: Assist in the organization and management of construction sites, working closely with Project Superintendents to oversee daily operations.
- Task Coordination: Undertake a wide variety of tasks, from site preparation to coordinating with tradespeople, ensuring that each phase of the project is completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying tarps, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available and in good condition.
- Collaboration: Work alongside tradespeople to facilitate the completion of various construction tasks, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Cost Estimation: Collaborate with engineers and architects to provide detailed cost estimates for various aspects of construction projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial construction with steel framing is a must.
- Ability to set H.M. commercial door frames and swing doors.
- Experience with sheet rock hanging, taping and small patching.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with cost estimation processes and software is a plus.
