As a Construction Financial Assistant, you will support the financial aspects of our projects, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a financial role, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
- Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software. Familiarity with Chief Architect, JobTread, or similar tools is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in handling financial data and project cost tracking.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction processes and estimating is a bonus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Support: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure alignment with estimates.
- Cost Reporting: Generate financial reports, including cost-to-complete and variance reports, for management review.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to verify costs, track invoices, and ensure proper documentation.
- Estimating Assistance: Collaborate with the estimating team to refine project cost analysis and budgeting processes.
- Financial Records Maintenance: Maintain organized and accurate records of all financial transactions related to construction projects.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Salary and Benefits:
- Job Type: Full-Time or Part-time (30-ish hours per week) with pro-rated pay.
