About the Job
Commercial General Contracting Company, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is currently seeking a talented and dynamic Estimator to join their leading team.
Responsibilities:
- Diligently analyze design drawings and specifications by trade and compile comprehensive bid packages.
- Engage with Subcontractors and Vendors to procure pricing for all scopes of work, ensuring thorough coverage.
- Evaluate Subcontractor and Vendor proposals to validate scope coverage and minimize the risk of scope gaps or double coverage.
- Conduct meticulous quantity take-offs, analysis, and pricing for various construction scopes, including General Conditions.
- Collaborate with the team in developing detailed scopes of work.
- Take the lead in preparing a thorough estimate by scope division and produce a comprehensive Contract/Bid Proposal Package.
- Participate actively in presentations and project interviews.
- Undertake preliminary scheduling of project construction.
- Assist the CEO as the primary point of contact and lead person for pre-construction efforts on all project types.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Estimator with an established General Contractor.
- MUST live in the Atlanta, GA area and have established relationships with local area sub-contractors
- Proficiency in Conceptual Estimating and some Pre-construction Services.
- Familiarity with pricing methods including Construction Manager at Risk, Design/Build, and Hard Bid.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Project.
- Experience with Procore Bidding Tools is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret Construction Drawings and Specifications.
