Construction Design Specialist
Location: Tracy, CA
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $23-$25 per hour
Start Date: Immediately

We are seeking a Construction Design Specialist for a contracted role with a well-established construction design company in Tracy, CA. This opportunity requires someone who is ready to start right away and can make a long-term commitment for the duration of the contract. Please note that only unemployed candidates will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize construction design software daily for design and layout tasks.
• Research data and specifications to assess feasibility for setup and design projects.
• Apply programming standards and techniques to ensure efficient and accurate design work.
• Analyze specifications to create designs that can be manufactured and installed.
• Work from measurements to develop precise layouts for manufacturing and construction.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Make adjustments to designs based on blueprint changes or specifications.
• Perform detailed math calculations, including angles and measurements, to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with engineering staff to discuss design modifications.
• Support CNC equipment processes as needed.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• General knowledge of the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Experience using construction design software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong math skills, including algebra, geometry, and fractions.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and complete multiple projects on time.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with word processing, database management, and other office software applications.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and office staff.

Additional Information:
This role is for individuals who are currently unemployed and can start immediately. Candidates must commit to the entire duration of the contract without interruption.
