Are you looking for a fantastic career at Aqua? We have an outstanding opportunity for a Construction Coordinator reporting to the Engineering Manager. The Construction Coordinator will manage assigned developer/company water and sewer related projects for Aqua Illinois.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Project manage construction for both developer and company funded watermain/sewer extension projects (i.e. all water and sewer extensions) within project deadlines.
- Inspection of or manage observers (i.e. inspectors) of assigned developer and company funded water main/sewer projects.
- Responsible for managing design of assigned developer and company funded water main/sewer projects.
- Responsible for coordinating a review of designs with other Aqua personnel (i.e. engineer and distribution).
- Responsible for obtaining all necessary IEPA permits.
- Responsible for obtaining all necessary paperwork from Developers (Agreements, Easements, Sample Results, Construction Permit, Bill of Sale, Certified Cost, etc.).
- Responsible for IEPA permitting of assigned developer and company funded water main/sewer projects.
- Primary contact for developers.
- Responsible for all accounting requirements of assigned projects (estimating, contractor based selection setup, requisitions, processing invoices, closing, and transfer to plant).
- Responsible for review and IEPA permitting of assigned Commercial/Industrial Buildings.
- Responsible for bidding of assigned projects.
- Responsible for Developer Refunds.
- Responsible for coordinating with Drafter on map updates.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, to organize work and develop effective working methods.
- Exhibit the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with public officials and company staff management.
- Other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL OR REGISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology (i.e. two-year degree) with two years of work experience in construction management (not inspection) is preferred.
- Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, being able to demonstrate particular skillfulness with spreadsheet development and the ability to manipulate data, as well as other software applications used in the normal course of business.
- Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License.
