This role will be a hybrid model and is expected to work in our Austin office 3 days per week.
Our Construction Phase Services team at our office in Austin, TX, seeks an experienced Construction Contract Administrator to join our team. We want someone who thrives in an environment of complex problem solving, focused relationship building, and being a wiz at juggling many moving pieces. Someone who takes initiative and is comfortable working independently and also across company departments, with contractors, owners, and other stakeholders. We want someone who can attack each new challenge with the knowledge that last week’s answer doesn’t fit this week’s question.

WHAT YOU’LL DO….
You’ll join the construction phase services department, which focuses on ensuring that the design intent is kept during construction phases. Depending on the day, your responsibilities will include:
• Manage project documentation and flow during the construction phase of Multi-Family, High-rise, and other commercial types of construction. Documentation to include but not limited to:
o Submittals, RFI’s, Proposal Requests, ASI’s, contracts, and all other pertinent documentation.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and attend OAC meetings to represent and facilitate design team and owner’s needs.
• Review construction schedules and identify if the project falls behind.
• Coordinate solutions to RFI’s with team members and consultants.
• Review submittals for design intent.
• Review costs, contractor pay applications, and change orders.
• Ensure the contractor is following the intent of the construction contract and design.
• Prepare field reports documenting construction progress and note deficiencies.
• Represent the firm in a professional manner with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
• Create other documentation to meet the project needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS…
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or similar required.
• 6+ years of experience in a professional architectural, engineering, or construction-related position required.
• Relationship building skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of construction and AIA documents.
• Ability to manage the workload of multiple simultaneous projects at a time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS…
• Experience in Commercial and Multi-Family a plus.
• Proficient in Revit a plus.
• NewForma software a plus.
