If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions, then we want to talk to you. We have a rare opportunity to join Sedgwick Repair Solutions’ Technical Team, undertaking a critical role in our Audit Team.
This team supports our network contractors in delivering repair works in accordance with Sedgwick and client requirements. With a focus on scheduling compliance, the role can however be varied and wide-reaching, supporting other initiatives as part of a wider Technical Team and providing help to our contractors and colleagues.
The role is to deliver schedule compliance and repair audits. The SRS audit team provides opportunities for an individual to develop their skills and experiences in the wider roles available within SRS Technical team, by collaboration and joint initiatives. This may include activities associated with health & safety, technical referrals, restoration reviews, ISO systems (14001 & 45001), specific client initiatives requiring technical support.
Reporting to the Technical Audit & Compliance Manager the primary role of the Construction Auditor is to ensure that the Repair Solutions contractors submit repair schedules in accordance with defined rules and definitions, reflecting clients’ requirements and to complete audits, primarily schedule & virtual visits, with potential development into site audits and inspections. They will develop the skills to provide expertise to the network and Sedgwick colleagues, experience within construction and/ or the insurance repair market and an appreciation for detail. The role is home-based with a requirement for some travel.
Main duties / responsibilities:
Undertaking schedule reviews to ensure compliance with network and client requirements.
Support network contractors and Sedgwick colleagues to deliver a compliant, competitive and financially viable reinstatement service.
Provide accurate and actionable data to evidence network compliance and support continuous improvement.
Assisting with the interpretation and reporting of results
Undertaking regular and periodic analysis/benchmarking
Provide input on compiling and maintaining rules and definitions.
Assisting with building and maintaining schedule of rates
Assisting SRS and Sedgwick colleagues with typical scheduling challenges
Providing guidance on scheduling and new services to SRS colleagues and contractors, and our wider Sedgwick colleagues.
Utilise video technology.
Development of personal goals in association with the Technical Team
You will have/will be:
Ideally an understanding of typical construction methods, legislation and best practice
Ideally experience of building cost principles and schedules of work
Focused on delivering outstanding customer service to Sedgwick’s customers, colleagues and contractors.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
Strong teamwork skills are essential
Professional in your approach to dealing with issues and colleagues
A growth mindset and expectation to support change and continuous improvement
Able to effectively influence network contractors and colleagues
Able to be flexible, and respond to changing priorities as they arise
An appreciation for confidentiality and discretion
The ability to communicate clearly with a range of people, on the phone or video call and in writing.
IT literate and a working understanding of Windows based programmes, in particular Excel and Outlook.
