Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the project management team and overseeing the successful delivery of ground-up commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the commercial construction space with a focus on ground-up projects, an understanding of project coordination, and a strong ability to manage timelines, budgets, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and team to ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting all safety, quality, and budget objectives.
- Manage and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documents.
- Help with maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones.
- Assist with procurement and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and report on project budgets and financials.
- Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on ground-up projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, project scheduling, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
