We are seeking a Construction Administrator for an award-winning, integrated architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning firm. This role offers the opportunity to become the primary point of contact during construction phases and to ensure effective communication between all stakeholders on exciting, diverse projects. This position features a hybrid work schedule and can be based in either Madison, WI (53703) or Waukesha, WI (53188).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction administration for small to large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with design teams, owners, and contractors to ensure smooth communication throughout the construction process.
- Manage the timely processing of contractor submittals and respond to contractor RFIs.
- Facilitate progress meetings and address project challenges as they arise.
- Conduct site visits, document observations, and generate field reports.
- Review contractor pay requests for accuracy.
- Manage project closeout procedures, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Mentor and train staff on construction administration standards and practices.
Qualifications:
- A professional degree in Architecture or Construction Management is desirable but not required.
- Architectural License is a plus.
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in construction services, project management, or contract administration.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including codes, AIA documentation, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software.
- Ability to travel for site visits or project work, including occasional overnight stays.
