We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual for the role of Accounts Receivable Accountant in our fast-paced construction company. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of our organization and offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in accounts receivable, Excel, and construction in a challenging and rewarding environment. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities that are crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable including billing, cash receipts, and customer account reconciliation.
2. Utilizing Excel to compile, analyze, and present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
3. Collaborating with the construction team to ensure accurate and timely billing of construction projects.
4. Resolving billing issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer files, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits.
6. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
7. Adhering to all company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Construction Accounts Receivable Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and use advanced functions.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry, including understanding of construction billing and contracts.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
5. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
