Responsibilities of the Construction Accounts Payable Clerk:

The Construction Accounts Payable Clerk will:

• Check and approve vouchers for payment.
• Prepare invoice deduction notices as necessary.
• Answer vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Manage lien waivers and notice to owners.
• Process subcontractor pay applications and handle certificates of insurance.
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended payment terms when cash is restricted.
• Prepare and issue accounts payable checks.
• Print and file all accounts payable reports and maintain related files.
• Conducted account analyses and assisted with monthly closings.
• Support the accounts receivable process and take on special projects as assigned.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Construction industry experience (required).
• 2–3 years of accounts payable experience, ideally in a Construction Accounts Payable Clerk role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
