Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
Budget Management: Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and report variances.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while managing cash flow.
Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Audit Coordination: Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to accounting and financial reporting.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment and providing professional development opportunities.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks, implementing necessary controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of accounting experience, with at least [Y] years in a managerial role, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.
Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
