Construction Accountant - Gpac

Are you a detail-oriented and experienced accountant looking to join a dynamic construction team? My client is seeking a skilled Construction Accountant to play a vital role in their financial operations. If you have a strong understanding of construction accounting principles, and possess excellent analytical skills, I want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

   • Manage all aspects of construction project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
   • Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

2. Project Cost Tracking:

   • Work closely with project managers to track and analyze project costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
   • Maintain cost control procedures to maximize profitability.

3. Billing and Invoicing:

   • Generate and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
   • Collaborate with project teams to address any billing discrepancies.

4. General Ledger Maintenance:

   • Reconcile general ledger accounts related to construction projects.
   • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

5. Compliance:

   • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance standards.
   • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for external audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in construction accounting.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry financial principles.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., TIMBERLINE/SAGE).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
