A Full Time Construction A/P A/R Coordinator / Assistant Bookkeeper Position You Can’t Turn Down!
Position Summary / General Description:
A rapidly growing general contractor located in Staten Island is seeking a dynamic quick learning candidate possessing basic knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Position is an IN-OFFICE position. This is not for a freelance position.

Responsibilities:
- Enters all approved invoices determining appropriate account codes and job codes.
- Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports.
- Tracks and determine daily cash position; manage intra-company funding.
- Prepares Aged Accounts Payable run for processing of weekly checks.
- Responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepares estimates and billing in QuickBooks and generates A/R statements.
- Manages cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.
- Recommends improvements to accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Speaks and writes clearly and effectively in a variety of settings. Must use acceptable grammar and must clearly and effectively communicate relevant information.
Desired Skills and Requirements:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is a PLUS.
- 3+ years of relevant experience IN AN OFFICE/bookkeeping environment.
- Prior work experience in a construction firm is a plus.
- MUST have at least an Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop (Not QB online).
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel.
- Possess valid driver’s license and owning a vehicle is a plus.
- Previous construction experience is a plus.
