A Better Planet: Spend 5 weeks working on conservation projects such as tree planting, fuels reduction, invasive plant removal, trail construction, and fencing. Play a vital role in improving our public lands and the environment.
Idaho Conservation Corps is currently recruiting for many paid summer positions. If you are looking to gain more experience for your future career, Idaho Conservation Corps has a spot for you. The challenge and simplicity of weeks spent working outside on meaningful conservation projects will give you the chance to gain perspective, learn new skills, meet new friends, and discover new opportunities.
Benefits/Tuition: Youth Corps Camping participants earn up to $1,665 including bonuses for their participation. The base stipend is $283 a week with uniform and rustic camping and food included which equals $1,415 for the five-weeks plus up to $50 in bonuses a week, equaling $1,665. There is a tuition cost for this educational program of $300 with scholarships available based on need.
Required qualification:
-16-19 years old
-Ability to hike several miles, and be on foot for 8 hours per day
-Positive mental attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow safety protocols
