Connectivity Engineer (GNSS/GPS) for Global Device Company
A Global Device Company is actively seeking a Connectivity Engineer (GNSS/GPS) in Cupertino, CA.
In this role, you will be responsible for running tests in the field, setting up devices, configuring iOS, and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
You will conduct GNSS/GPS tests in the field. After completing the tests, you will return to the office to analyze the results, dump all logs, and perform post-processing to address any issues found in the logs. During the work week, you will spend 2-3 days in the field and 2-3 days performing post-analysis in the office. Field tests may take up the entire day if non-local trips are involved. Security and transportation to testing sites will be provided.
You will run standalone tests/tools, initiated with simple commands. If issues arise, you will run scripts in Python or Shell, though no script modification is required.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in product field testing with GNSS/GPS technologies.
- Experience in device configuration, log collection, first-level analysis, and report generation.
- Ability to follow test plans, test multiple devices in the field, and gather necessary logs.
- Proficiency in setting up multiple devices and loading firmware.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel locally and non-locally on short notice.
- Experience with the Mac ecosystem and Mac office tools.
- NovAtel experience
Nice to have:
- Basic scripting experience (MATLAB/Python/Shell).
