Salary: $70,000 - 80,000/year
The Conflicts and Intake Analyst will play a crucial role in the firm by ensuring that all potential conflicts of interest are identified, assessed, and managed effectively. This position also involves overseeing the client intake process, ensuring that new clients are onboarded smoothly and in compliance with firm policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough conflict checks for new matters and clients using the firm's conflict management software.
- Review and analyze potential conflicts of interest and provide recommendations to attorneys.
- Maintain and update the conflicts database to ensure accurate and current information.
- Manage the client intake process, including gathering necessary documentation and information from prospective clients.
- Prepare and send engagement letters, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulations.
- Coordinate with attorneys and other staff to facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new clients.
- Work closely with attorneys and support staff to address conflict-related inquiries and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
- Communicate effectively with clients and prospective clients regarding the intake process and any potential conflicts.
- Maintain accurate records of all conflict checks, client intake documents, and related correspondence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a law degree or paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal or compliance setting, preferably in conflicts analysis or client intake.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using legal software and databases; experience with conflict management systems is a plus.
