Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Documentation and monitoring of configuration management processes and procedures to include the following:
o Deep understanding of hardware to include but not limited to network devices, component devices, and associated software.
· An understanding of configuration change management to include:
o Principals, methodologies, and practices.
o Understanding of associated forms.
o Work with configuration advisory board (CAB) and the configuration control board (CCB) to schedule meetings, processes request and answer questions.
o Work with the configuration management manager as a point person and a backup as needed.
o An understanding of Jira (helpdesk ticketing platform) which will be used to create tickets and track each change request form through the whole process.
o Offer insight and improve the current processes, systems, and procedures.
o Expand your knowledge and assist all staff with issues or problems as needed.
o Assist in the creation of supporting documentation.
o Become a subject matter expert (SME) in this program.
o Develop a deep understanding of this and any additional task orders that require support from this program.
o Always implement proactivity in support of the program.
o Work with internal and external customers.
o Keep track of and report requests within the system.
o Coordinate, review, and maintain supporting systems.
· Perform all other duties as assigned by the configuration management manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Be able to get and maintain an active US DoD Secret Clearance (minimum).
· Jira or other relevant helpdesk plate form experience preferred.
· A technical background or 5 years of relevant experience.
· The ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
· Ability to travel as needed to various government facilities 20% of the time with the remaining 80% telework.
