JOB SUMMARY:
This position is to serve as a full-time Conferences Services Assistant for the Agricultural Technology Conference Center (ATCC) and occasionally C. W. Pettigrew Farm and Community Life Center by performing routine cleaning services, assisting with preparation, setup, and serving of food for events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will be a direct report to the Conference Center Director.
- Assist the Conference/Event Logistics Coordinator and Plant Operations with maintaining appearance/cleanliness of event space and meeting rooms at ATCC and occasionally Pettigrew Center.
- Ensure needed supplies are available for setup at the ATCC
- At the ATCC, this individual will also be responsible for unlocking doors for meeting rooms used during evening events and locking all rooms not being used including entry/exit doors.
- Coordinate with the university Plant Operations and Custodian Services for university events setup and maintenance occasionally at the Pettigrew Center.
- Assist with other duties in absence of assigned facility personnel (ans. Phone, etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma.
- 1-2 years of work-related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- Ability to work independently.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work fulltime during the day, as well as on a rotating, flexible schedule that requires working extended workdays, weekends and some holidays.
- Works under a range of temperature condition.
- Requires being able to work rapidly and efficiently during rush periods.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand or walk for an extended amount of time.
- Lift or carry up to 30 pounds.
- Arrange and move tables occasionally.
- Use hands frequently for grasping, pushing or pulling.
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, lift overhead.
