Concrete Project Manager - Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors

Looking for an exciting and rewarding career in concrete construction? We're seeking candidates for a critical role as Project Manager on a series of large Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland projects.  To be considered for this position, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a construction-related field, 2-5 years of experience in concrete project supervision, and will be knowledgeable in project management including concrete, estimating, safety, quality control, and scheduling.

As a leader for the project team, responsibilities will include creating a safe work environment, organizing site logistics, establishing a work pace that achieves schedule commitments, assuring construction quality, and monitoring and tracking project progress and risks.  The Project Manager must be able to work proactively and professionally with a large group of stakeholders including subcontractors, suppliers, and owner's representatives.  Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

• Relationships:  Earn respect through concrete knowledge and positive problem solving.  Develop productive relationships with project team, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Communication:  Strong communication skills, including excellent ability to identify and understand requirements of the project team and to participate in collaborative problem solving.
• Detail Orientation:  Successfully ensure accuracy of project documentation, change management, and contracts.  Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Professionalism:  Positive attitude and professional demeanor and appearance and perform well under project constraints and deadlines.
• Computer Skills:  Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.  Willingness to learn new software technology and estimating software. 
• Math Skills:  Numerical and analytical skills related to job cost, dimension and layout, elevations, and production rates.
• Learning Orientation:  Pursue related educational and training for job performance improvements and to share knowledge and debate concepts with the Christman team.

Best suited candidates will possess the following characteristics:

• Two to five years in project management, preferably concrete construction
• OSHA 30 hour certification preferred
• Demonstrated interest in and ability to develop familiarity with the site requirements, tools, methods, and materials
