Concrete Laboratory Technician
National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has an open position for a full-time Concrete Lab Technician. Reports to Laboratory Manager and Engineering Division Staff.

SUMMARY:
Support workplan of NRMCA laboratory; maintain proficiency at performing current and new standard test methods; support lab quality system to maintain accreditation status, collect and record data; assist with data analysis and reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mortar and concrete mixtures; aggregate and concrete tests according to established schedule
- Follow standardized testing procedures; record test results; assist with reports
- Support lab quality system and accreditation; proficiency sample testing; lab inspection audit items
- Support equipment, laboratory, and grounds maintenance
- Assist laboratory manager for laboratory initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High school or college degree
- 2 - 5 years experience in construction materials testing
- Certifications needed for accreditation - ACI Field I, ACI Aggregate, ACI Strength (can be obtained after hire)
- Basic computer proficiency - MS Word, Excel
- Reliability, Detail oriented, team oriented, and show initiative to take on required tasks
- Able to lift 50 lbs
DESIRED SKILLS
- Practical knowledge of concrete research, testing, materials
- Review and interpretation of testing standards to perform
- Computer skills for data analysis, report generation
- Handy with equipment and technology
- Proactive to assist with laboratory initiatives
