Position Summary:
This position is responsible for enhancing resident service and providing up-to-date information in a more efficient and timely manner as well as greeting residents and visitors, answering the telephone and responding to both routine inquiries and emergencies, relaying calls to the proper department and performing a variety of related clerical duties. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Essential Functions:
- Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families
- Use proper telephone skills
- Ensure safety of the residents and property by monitoring door alarms, life safety system, building alarms, and investigating any unusual activity.
- Ensure that incident reports, concern reports, and other appropriate communication have been completed.
- Maintain visitor sign in/out book, reservation book for guest rooms, and complete maintenance request work orders.
- Complete daily check in procedure
- Maintain emergency contact information.
- Maintain daily census.
- Receive packages, plants, etc. and deliver/hold as requested
- Maintain the sign in/out log for the issuance of community keys.
- Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
- Make sure the lobby is fresh and is appropriately set up.
- Assist Executive Director with administrative functions - confidential employee files, resident files.
- Maintain all office equipment, ie phones, copiers, laminator etc.
- Maintain employee contact list
- Maintain resident family contact list
- Complete all required daily shift tasks as per community established by the Executive Director
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills/E ducational Requirements:
Level of Formal Education:
- A high School Diploma or General Education Degree; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Competent in computer skills a must, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher
- Eagerness to be a team player and grow with the company.
