Purpose of the Position
To support the preparation and smooth operation of concessions with bar set-up and dismantle, inventory oversight, and provide patrons with a positive experience.
Key Relationships:
immediate supervisor, bartenders, patrons, volunteers, and other departments
Key Results:
- Contribute to an increase of concession’s revenue by efficient through put of patrons served
- Adapt to changing operating environment with initiative-taking actions in support of concession’s needs
- Model meticulous and exceptional quality in service to maintain the highest standards
- Foster a sense of positive affiliation among concession team and other LBC staff
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Bar Area Setup and Breakdown
- Physical setup of a bar/ beverage serving space for clients and patrons of the Center
- Transport, setup and dismantle various types of equipment including tables, chairs, linen, stanchions, beverages, including kegs
Inventory Control
- Product rotation, storage consolidation, maintaining refrigeration hygiene
- Perform minor emergency maintenance and repairs during events, such as removal of safety hazards and replacement of product
Janitorial Duties
- Maintain sanitary conditions at concession stands and in the kitchen before, during and after events
- Perform tasks which include trash management, disinfecting surfaces, food disposal, mopping, sweeping, replenishing supplies/product and touch up painting
Safety Procedures
- Perform Crowd management during events and performances, maintains safe environment for employees and patrons
- Check for and report unauthorized use of facilities or other unusual and improper conditions
- Set up stanchions for crowd control and erect, relocate, and remove signs
- Act quickly during medical incidents by communicating clearly and concisely with radio equipment
- Prioritizes safety for patrons and employees
Patron Services
- Answer basic questions and works to resolve patron issues in accordance with policy guidelines
- Remain well informed of specific organizational information in order to provide answers to a multitude of patron questions and inquiries

Professional Qualifications
Education
No specific educational qualifications.
Critical Skills and Abilities
- Must be 21 or older
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Adept at managing multiple tasks successfully
- Maintain a calm and courteous professional demeanor under pressure
- Demonstrate ability to incorporate constructive feedback to increase effectiveness
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed instructions that pertain to a multi-use venue and facility
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to record inventory usage correctly per event
Physical Effort and Working Conditions
Must be able to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; able to lift up to 50lbs. regularly, to transport and stock assigned supplies and products; to pick-up from vendors and deliver stock and materials. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials.
