In this position, you will join a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to discover and build solutions to previously-unsolved challenges and push the state of the art. We are seeking an enthusiastic leader capable of effectively guiding a team, collaborating cross functionally, and possessing deep expertise in both practical and theoretical aspects of 3D Computer Vision algorithms. This includes proficiency in generative models, novel view synthesis, 3D reconstruction, multi-modal models, pose estimation, or tracking. This role is exceptionally technical, demanding a leader who can actively engage in all aspects of the work, from conceptualization and theoretical considerations to design, coding, and implementation.

Your job responsibilities will include: - Inventing and implementing state of the art computer vision algorithms to solve cutting edge problems - Designing such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on Apple devices - Collaborating with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectively - Cooperating with your team members to prepare presentations, papers, and talks to explain your inventions
Education & Experience

Key Qualifications
- 2+ years leading teams that design and deliver advanced ML projects (3D CV algorithms and generative models)
- 5+ years of industry experience in CVML and an advanced degree (Ph.D./M.Sc.) in CVML or similar field
- A strong track record of shipping products and publications / patents
- Strong experience in 3D Computer Vision algorithms
- Experience with Multi-modal LLMs, Multi-modal contrastive learning, Foundation models, Diffusion based models
- Experience in machine learning, preferably in 3D computer vision applications
- Solid foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebra
- Solid in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Good experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib
- Experience in C++ is a plus
- Experience in 3D graphics and rendering is a plus
- Sensor fusion experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400.00 and $316,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
